The predecessor to IITRI, the Armour Research Foundation, conducted a great deal of research on behalf of the Wright Air Development Center and the other agencies represented on the Contrails site, producing hundreds of technical reports. Many are available digitally on the Contrails site.

IIT Connection

The Illinois Institute of Technology and it's Armour Research Foundation (now the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute) have a strong connection to the Wright Air Development Center and its successor agencies.  Armour was contracted on dozens of occasions to perform research for WADC, and many researchers - some employed by Armour, others not - earned degrees from IIT.  Below you will find an outline of the relationship between IIT and WADC including a linked bibliography of Technical Reports produced by Armour Research Foundation and the Illinois Institute of Technology.
