August 15, 2008, Chicago - 

Contrails has a new domain name, contrails.iit.edu.  The new name reflects the name change that occurred almost 3 years ago.  The status of the site has increased with the new domain.  When the project was known as the Wright Air Development Center Digital Collection, the location of the domain was a folder under the library homepage domain.  The new domain reflects the greater importance of the site as a unique resource that helps to bring people to the Illinois Institute of Technology's web presence.

Our staff is proud of this recognition of the contributions made to the university through the Contrails project.
